Cancellation & Billing Policy

Important: Clara AI subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, but will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.

Overview

This Cancellation & Billing Policy outlines the procedures and terms related to billing and cancelling your Clara AI subscription or services. Our goal is to make these processes as straightforward and transparent as possible.

Subscription Plans

Clara AI offers the following subscription plans:

  • Monthly Plan: Billed every month on the date of initial subscription
  • Annual Plan: Billed once per year on the date of initial subscription
  • Custom Enterprise Plans: Billed according to specific terms outlined in the enterprise agreement

Billing Terms

  • All subscriptions are billed in advance
  • Billing cycles begin on the date of subscription activation
  • Automatic renewal is enabled by default
  • Payment is processed using secure, industry-standard methods
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension

Refund Policy

Clara AI operates on a no-refund policy for standard situations:

  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • No refunds for change of mind or dissatisfaction with generated content
  • No refunds for technical issues that are resolved within 48 hours
  • Exception: Refunds may be considered in cases of billing errors or technical failures lasting more than 7 days

Cancellation Process

Self-Service Cancellation

  1. Log in to your Clara AI account
  2. Navigate to Account Settings
  3. Select Billing & Subscription
  4. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  5. Confirm your cancellation
  6. Receive email confirmation

Effects of Cancellation

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • No new charges will be processed after cancellation
  • You retain access to premium features until expiration
  • Generated content remains accessible for 30 days post-cancellation
  • Account may be downgraded to free tier (if available)

Billing Disputes

If you notice any billing discrepancies or unauthorized charges:

  • Provide transaction details and account information
  • We will investigate and respond within 5 business days
  • Disputed charges may be temporarily credited during investigation

Auto-Renewal

All Clara AI subscriptions are set to automatically renew by default to ensure uninterrupted service. To prevent automatic renewal:

  • Cancel your subscription before your next billing date
  • Turn off auto-renewal in account settings (where available)
  • Contact support for assistance

Price Changes

  • We reserve the right to modify subscription prices
  • Existing subscribers receive 30 days advance notice
  • Price changes apply to subsequent billing cycles only
  • You may cancel before price changes take effect
